Performance pictures

We took a couple of pictures, when we were filming the performance. As we through that we could maybe use these for either the digipack or the advert or both. We will be taking some more pictures as we will need more than these for making the whole of the digipack. The pictures are shown below here.

Saturday 13th October Filming

We filmed the performance part of our music video on Saturday. We wanted to have the performance filmed at sunrise, so that the sun could be seen rising in the background. The sunrise on Saturday was at 7.34am, so we all meet up at around 7am to set up the interments for the band.

We wanted to have the performance part of the music video filmed on Tynemouth pier. This can be seen in on our storyboards and in our animatic. Below here is two links, the top one is for our storyboard and the second one is the link for our animatic:

When we got to Tynemouth pier on Saturday morning the pier was locked up. So instead we chose to film the performance, on a piece of grass that was close to the pier. In the performance filming you can see two piers can be seen in the background. The background that we used for the performance can be seen in the background of these two images.

When we were filming we made sure that we used a storyboard. We used this to help  us make sure that we got all of the shots that we needed. It was also to make sure that we got all of the different angles that we wanted, that are shown in the animatic.

Before we filmed on the Saturday, during the week we checked to see what the weather would be like and also what the tide times would be. So below here there are two links.

Week beginning 8th October

This week we have been looking at our logo. We have also been making band merchandising through using our band logo. We have made a t-shirts, some drums, a cap, and a range of different pin badges.

We also made some sugar glass to test it to see how well it worked. To see if we were still going to be using the sugar glass. After making the sugar glass, we found that we will have to make the sugar glass a couple of hours before we need it, otherwise it starts to melt. We will still be using the sugar glass for the window scene in the music video. We have a video of how to make the sugar glass and also what it looks like when it has been punched. We are going to be filming the performance part of the video, on Saturday. We will be filming at Tynemouth pier, at sunrise. We are going to be filming at sunrise so that we have the sun rising in the background of the performance part of the music video. Tide times

We checked what time the tide was in because we would be unable to film if it was high tide because it will be too dangerous. The tide will be fine when we are going to be filming.

Weather and Sunrise

In the lesson today we checked to see what the weather was like on Saturday morning using BBC weather, this also showed us what time the sunrise is, this is very helpful to us because we need the sunrise to be in the background. As shown in the image below the weather will be good on Saturday and that the sunrise will be at 7.34.

The Influence T-Shirt

As part of our merchandise range we created a t-shirt that fans can purchase. The t-shirt comes in both white and black the white on having the black logo on and the black t-shirt has the white logo on. The t-shirt's are very simplistic but shows off the band easily as the logo stands out from the backgrounds.

As we are releasing our new album part of this will include releasing various items of merchandise. The aim of this is to increase revenue incomes and to just simply promote the band. Therefore we mocked up what our t-shirt would look like on a professional online shopping site.

These t-shirts will not really be sold as this is just part of are media coursework but this t-shirts would be part of the  merchandising range if The influence was a real band.

Deadlines

Below here is a list of when all of the deadlines are that we have to meant, the dates shown below are the days that the work is due in on:

• Wednesday 24th October- Rough Cut deadline
• Monday 26th November- Final deadline for the music video
• Monday 3rd December- Final digipack and advert 
• Monday 10th December- Evaluation deadline

All of deadlines have to be meet by 4.30pm.
